Seeking God Through His Word

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. (Psalm 119:9) God tells us how to clean up our acts, and that is by taking heed to His Word. It is our youth that need God's Word to influence their lives, so that they can go on to lead in the future with a godly influence.

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. (Psalm 119:10)
A focus on the Word of God will help us to not wander from what God has commanded.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)
This is a very simple verse that can help us to live a life without sin. We all know that we are not perfect, so commit the Word of God to your heart to help you avoid sin.

Blessed art thou, O Lord teach me thy statutes. (Psalm 119:12)
Looking to God to guide is the only way to know the way God want us to live.

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. (Psalm 119:13)
Telling others about what is going to happen in the end will help others to know that their life is not their own.

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. (Psalm 119:14)
We have much to rejoice about, because we have been given new life and promise of an eternal home in Heaven.

I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. (Psalm 119:15)
Constant meditation on God's precepts demands respect.

I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. (Psalm 119:16)
Thank You Lord for the statutes that you have spoken, and thank You Lord for Your Word.

Words of God, Worthy of Our Praise

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. (Psalm 119:1)
There is much blessing for those that who walk in the way of the Lord. I know that we as Christians do our best to walk in the law of the Lord, but we are not perfect. It is only by the grace of God that we live through Him.

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. (Psalm 119:2)
There are so many testimonies that we can express about what the Lord has done, will do, and is going to do. Seeking God helps to calm the storms of life, and to guide us through the dark valleys.

They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. (Psalm 119:3)
There are not many that can say this, but I know that we try to do our best. God has given us the way that we should live in His Word.

Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. (Psalm 119:4)
As with work, this should be done so diligently. If we do not keep the precepts of the Lord diligently; then we are bound to fall into sin.

O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! (Psalm 119:5)
David wants to keep the statutes of the Lord, but he knows that it is difficult.

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. (Psalm 119:6)
There is shame for those that have not respected and obeyed the commandments of the Lord.

I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. (Psalm 119:7) I will praise the Lord for what I have learned from Him.

I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. (Psalm 119:8)
He gives his best for the Lord, and asks Him not to forsake him completely.

Every Morning

Every morning I rise to praise,
The Creator of my days.
Every morning I rise to live,
And every part of me I give.

Every morning I rise to love,
The Maker of the Heavens above.
Every morning I rise to pray,
And thank Him for everyday.

Every morning I rise to say,
That without Him there is no today.
Every morning I rise to labor,
And ask Him for His favor.
