Rejoice, for sin's chains are broken,
Released by Your Words spoken.
Though by man I be retained,
Your presence has still remained.
Freedom is not of my own doing,
While man Your promise is misconstruing,
I believe the purpose is not my own,
But it is to make Thy presence known.
Bind me to Thy heart,
And rejoice from the inner part.
Though the trials are long,
Through it all, I am made strong.
