Friday: Faith is the Victory

"Encamped along the hills of light, Ye Christian soldiers, rise,
And press the battle ere the night Shall veil the glowing skies.
Against the foe in vales below, Let all our strength be hurled;
Faith is the victory, we know, That overcomes the world.
Faith is the victory! Faith is the victory!
O glorious victory That overcomes the world."
("Faith is the Victory"- John H. Yates)

"And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith." (Luke 17:5) Faith is something that many people lack, because they are blinded the veil of the flesh. It is believing the unbelievable. Those of us that have known the saving faith, know that anything is possible with Christ.
There are others that believe far-out things, and what has that done for them? They are even more lost when than when they first started believing some of this rubbish. Those of the Church of Scientology are trying to find their inner alien, and therefore are killing themselves off faster than an alien invasion. The Catholics are caught up in their ritualism and traditions. I am not trying to tear down their beliefs, but I am trying to relay the truth. The absolute truth is in the Word of God, not in the Koran or any other religious book.
"For which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day. Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of Me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus." (2 Timothy 1:12,13) What I have read here is saying to commit to memory those things that you have read. I would also say that it is telling us to stand up for what we believe.
Faith is what it took for Peter to step out of the boat and walk to Jesus on the water, and for David to stand in front of Goliath and take him down with one small stone. There are many other instances of great faith in the Bible. Lord, increase my faith.
