This the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Monday is a day that most people dread, because either we go back to work or to do something that we just don't like doing. I want to emphasize the need to worship in every situation. In the highest mountain and in the lowest valley. "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice." (Philippians 4:4) The apostle Paul had the right idea, because he had his share of mountain and valley experiences. Paul was not the only example of worship whatever the circumstances.
The concept of worship is not foreign to those of the Old Testament. Even after Moses led the people of Israel out of Egypt, and reminded the Israelites of the Law that God had given, he knew the importance of worship. In Deuteronomy 10:21a, Moses says, "He is thy praise, and He is thy God." That is the simple truth of worship. Isaiah prophesied to Israel about the coming Messiah, and he reminded of the need to worship the one that had brought them through many great trials. "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation." (Isaiah 12:2) There is a great deal about worship in the Old Testament, but let us not forget the New Testament.
Looking forward to what eternity holds. John accounts the events of eternity. In Revelation 19:5, it says, "And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great." Whatever walk of life your from, Praise our God.
