Monday: Ready to Wait

Waiting is very difficult for anyone to do. There is always anticipation of some event, especially the ones that mean a great deal to us. While not having any knowledge of what the future holds; we can still worship our Lord. A song that comes to mind by an artist that has the right idea and attitude about waiting on the Lord.

"I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait

I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord"
("While I'm Waiting"- John Waller)

I will not question the Lord about when and where I am going, but I will wait faithfully. "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful." (I Corinthians 4:2) We are given a great deal, and we are required to be faithful stewards of what we are given. "Faithful is He that calleth you, Who also will do it." (I Thessalonians 5:24) This talks about our Lord and how He is faithful to us in our calling, and He will make a way to accomplish that calling.

Do not forget to worship while you are waiting. The Lord is faithful and will do what He wills in His timing.
